You know what sucks? Multiple Sclerosis. With no known cure, MS is a degenerative autoimmune disease that is both debilitating and frightening for those who have it and their loved ones. 1point21 Interactive, a visual content division of Highrank Websites, wanted to fight back by participating in the Walk MS event that happened this last Saturday in San Diego.

MS is a cause that hits close to home for the 1point21 team as a few of us have family members suffering with the disease. My mom, Marty, was diagnosed 12 years ago and to show support, we all showed up sporting “Walk for Marty” armbands for the three mile walk around Liberty Station. Our team of rockstars, along with the help of family and friends, ended up raising $2,630 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Walk MS event as a whole raised over $1.3 million for this great cause!

The walk was a blast and as always, we had kids playing, babies running, and Highrankers awkwardly dancing. It was a beautiful day and meant the world to our special guest, Marty, who was all smiles along the way.
